senior Project Engineer (design)

At IX Renewables we're looking for a senior Project Engineer (design) to join our team.

The position and responsibilities

The Senior Project Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for managing the subcontracted offshore substation packages and the technical scope of subcontracted offshore installation activities.Your responsibilities and tasks:

• Develops offshore wind farm design concepts for projects in a team of experts for offshore wind farm design and engineering.

• Help making decisions about the technical and commercial process

• Review technical packages in offshore wind farm design and engineering

• You are contributing to an excellent time scheduling, budget control and interdisciplinary coordination of design and engineering activities, both internally and subcontracted

• When needed you identify and report discordance from the contract and take appropriate measures.

• You assist with budgetary proposal processes with domestic and international design and engineering companies

• Support procurement with preparation of contracts with design and engineering companies

• Support technical and commercial assessment of different design methodologies

• Support interface management to authorities and governmental bodies

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience with big and complex engineering projects preferably in oil & gas, energy or offshore (wind);

• Experience in offshore engineering and preferably wind farm design

• You have experience with working in an international environment and different cultures;

• Project Management experience or ability to coordinate a project

• You have the ability to influence and to facilitate the development and implementation of goals, objectives and plans.

• Work in a structured manner and ability to structure the documentation

• Independent self-starter able to manage own workload with minimal supervision;

• You are a strong communicator, both verbally and written in English. Intercultural communication and negotiation skills are a must.

• Willingness to travel/ temporarily relocate to Taiwan.

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Marine Logistics.
